The Oakland Athletics are a popular professional baseball team based in the San Francisco area. Since their founding in 1901 in Philadelphia and then their move to Oakland, they have won 9 World Series titles, have amassed 15 American league Pennants, and 14 West Division Championship titles. The Athletics have intense rivalries with the Philadelphia Phillies and the Minnesota Twins. They also have a history with other California-based Major League Baseball teams such as the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and a friendlier competitiveness with the San Francisco Giants whom they meet in the Bay Bridge Series.

The Oakland Athletics play their games during the Major League Baseball season which runs from April until October.

Keep going on I-980 until it becomes I-880 South. Exit at the 66th Avenue and follow signs to stadium.
